At Adobe Lumber we have access to both MOSO Bamboo X-treme as well as dassoXTR Fused Bamboo Decking. Much like IPE, bamboo decking has a Class A fire-rating and is WUI approved. It is a ecologically sustainable, durable product that is slightly less expensive than IPE and backed by warranties up to 30 years unlike other wood products. Both products are FSC certified, LEED compliant and CO2 neutral. The process involved in making bamboo decking enhances it's hardness, durability, fire resistance and dimensional stability. Like IPE, bamboo is installed using stainless steel hardware. Bamboo decking is sold in 6' lengths in bundles of 3 with Tongue and Grooved ends that don't require ending on a joist. It can also be used as siding, fascia/trim boards and comes in both 1x4, 1x6 and 2x material. Bamboo is sold pre-primed and unfinished and you can retain it's color with applying a finish or you can let it naturally grey out.
